Plan (EMP) for the life of the project
- Pro-active application of rigorous environmental assessment methodology
- Full participation of the public, stakeholders, First Nations and regulatory authorities in
project environmental assessment and the development of an EMP
FUNCTIONAL FEATURES
- Provides a comprehensive and effective framework for the implementation of PAC-RIM's environmental policy in co-ordination with requirements of various regulatory agencies, and the expressed expectations of stakeholders, First Nations and the public
- Facilitates the input of the public, stakeholders, First Nations and regulatory authorities throughout the environmental assessment review process
- Incorporates the results of the environmental assessment and outlines the requirements for on-going assessment related matters, such as long-term Environmental Effects Monitoring
- Outlines all environmental protection measures and procedures to be implemented by PAC-RIM for each project activity and in case of accidental events
- Facilitates the gathering of new data throughout the life of the project and the refinement of mitigative procedures
- Clearly articulates the roles and responsibilities of all PAC-RIM personnel for all project activities, and outlines employee training and education requirements
- Specifies self-auditing procedures to ensure compliance with all environmental requirements and to ensure effective implementation of PAC-RIM's Environmental Management Strategy
