PARENT INFORMATION BULLETIN #2

1. Criminal Records Check

The Criminal Records Review Act requires all volunteers have a Criminal Records Search. Please be aware that all our volunteers need to have a new check done for this year. Please contact the school for more information and the procedure you need to follow.

2. Parent Advisory Hot Lunch

Our Hot Lunch program sponsored by our parent Advisory Council begins this Wednesday, October 10 and takes place every Wednesday up to and including Wednesday, November 7. This program takes place on a monthly basis and parents need to sign-up for it each month. This year there will be no "extras" for purchase. If you missed this month's program a new form for November will be sent home in early November.

3. School Lunch Program

Our daily lunch program will tentatively begin on Monday, October 15. More information will be sent home later this week. Please note this program operates with a grant from the Ministry of Education and financial contributions from participants. Any amount you can contribute will be greatly appreciated.

4. Student Photos

Individual Student Photos will be taken this Thursday, October 11. Information will be sent home on Wednesday.

5. Family Portrait Day

Thank you to everyone who registered to have a family portrait taken on Saturday, November 10. There are only a few spots left. Please call the school for more information.

6. Hepatitis "B" Vaccinations, Wednesday, October 17

The 2 part Hepatitis B vaccination for all our Grade 6 students will begin on Wednesday, October 17. Mrs. Carol Harrison our school nurse is co-ordinating this.
