Riverboat Days 2002: Downtown Lions Pancake Breakfast in the Park
The Farmer's Market is always a popular Saturday morning destination during the summer. During Riverboat Days, though, there's an added attraction: the Downtown Lions Pancake Breakfast in the Park.
The smell of gently browning pancakes, crisping bacon, frying sausage, eggs over easy or sunny side up, brewing coffee . . . it was simply too much for the milling crowd at the market. They had no choice. They had to drop in and breakfast in the warming sun in George Little Park.
It made a perfect day. Browse through the market, walk a hundred feet or so southeast for an open air breakfast or brunch, then off to the parade to witness one of the many highlights of the day.
