Riverboat Days 2002: Ruins' Skateboard & McBike's BMX Competitions

Sunday saw two challenging events hosted at the Terrace skateboard park: Ruins Board Shop Skateboard Competition led the action, and was followed by the McBike BMX Competition.

In skateboarding the competition was keen. Entries like Daniel Bottyan from Vancouver made this year's event somewhat of a provincial competition. Better still, Benny Urban of Germany elevated this to the international level.

In BMX, five-year-old Brandon Viguers of Terrace attracted well earned attention with a third place finish in the Expert Men's Under 16 category. If it's closely matched competition you like, Sarah Zimmerman of Terrace beat Suki Spencer by a only two points in the Pro Women Over 16 Division.
