  2. Minimum 4-point (5-point recommended) racing harness seat belts are mandatory. No homemade harnesses allowed. Belts must have single release and be securely fastened to car. Must be approved by tech crew. Minimum 3” wide except for submarine belt. Seatbelts must be attached with minimum ½” bolts.
  3. Car must have a steel or chain driveshaft sling or hoop installed behind front U-joint and within the front 1/3 of driveshaft to keep shaft off track in case of breakage.
  4. Must have a minimum 2½ lb. ABC type fire extinguisher, mounted in approved steel mount, within easy reach of driver when belted in.
  5. Must have tow chains or cables fastened to front and rear of car within easy reach of tow truck operator.
  6. Car numbers must be at least 18" in height and on both doors and roof of car. They must be of a contrasting colour so as to be easily seen by the lap counters. Super Stock must use 1 or 2 digit numbers, Hobby Stock cars must use 2 digit numbers and Street Stock must use 3 digit numbers. The numbers which may never be used are: 9, 37, 89, 717, and 718.
  7. All cars must be inspected by the tech crew and if passing all rules will receive a safety sticker which must be placed on the top of the driver's side front windshield post. Those not meeting safety rules will be given a list of items to be completed by the next race day. If safety items are not complete and are deemed to be serious by the tech crew, the car will not be allowed on the track until they are fixed.
  8. Cars without safety stickers must be in the pits at least one hour prior to time trials so that the car can be inspected. It is up to the driver of the car to make sure his/her car has been inspected.
  9. Safety stickers may be revoked upon inspection of the car at any time during the race season.
  10. All cars must comply with the specifications as written with regards to construction.
  11. Any car involved in an accident must be checked by the tech crew before it will be allowed back on the track. It is up to the driver to make sure the car has been checked.
  12. Brake checks will be performed randomly throughout the race season.
  13. The tech crew has final authority in regards to car construction.
  14. No brazing allowed on any structural part of car (ie roof must be welded and not brazed on). These rules are designed with every good intention, however, during the race season there may be times when minor alterations or clarifications to the rules may be necessary for technical or safety reasons.
